“Cole Palmer is one of the best players in the world when he’s in his own area. Whatever he tries to do, it always works out,” Hasselbaink told BoyleSports.
“He plays with feeling and it works. He’s a great player. He’s got great talent. He doesn’t need a lot of attention and he just wants to play football.”
“He reminds me of the old days of street football. I was afraid it would disappear but he brought it back to the game.”
“His only weakness, you can say, is his header. But he can pass, score, assist and take free kicks. He’s really good.”
Palmer – a nine-cap, two-goal England international has been lauded as world-class by Hasselbaink. One of the players with the most long-range goals in Premier League history. But he has suggested that working on his heading would make him more of an all-round menace.
