Danilo da Silva, the right-back and captain of the Brazilian national team, said it was not strange that. His team were booed because of the result after Tuesday’s CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup football qualifier. Which ended in a 1-1 draw with Uruguay.

The ‘Samba’ had just drawn 1-1 with Venezuela. So the ‘Samba’ fans in Salvador expected to see Dorival Junior’s team crush their opponents. But it turned out that they didn’t crush that much. And they had to chase the draw. Resulting in the final whistle being a brick instead of a flower UFABET

“The boos are because of disappointment. The main thing is the result, the position in the standings, the qualifying round.” Danilo told ESPN Brazil.

“I think the team has improved significantly since the game against Paraguay (lost 0-1) until now,”

“Understanding our role, the intensity we need to bring to the game. Unfortunately in the end the judgement is the final result .”

“Even though it can’t help, don’t forget about working hard. Like how many opportunities did we create last night?”

“Of course, that doesn’t win the game. But it does point the way for what’s coming next.”

“We know the responsibility because we have only six more matches left for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and we have to make it to the finals.”

“I understand why the fans booed because if I was watching the game from the stands. I would want to see the team win by a landslide.”

“But I think we have hope with the style of play that has the intensity that is needed.”

Brazil ‘s next fixture is March 2025. Which will be a tough one, with either a home game against Colombia or an away game against Argentina in Buenos Aires.
