About Us
In the know about Trotter's:
- Check out a video project from a few Macalester students here!
- Minnesota 2020 video
- We use organic grains. Our white and wheat flours come from Minnesota farmers.
- We use Minnesota/ Wisconsin honey.
- We use locally-produced free-range eggs.
- We offer Fair Trade Peace Coffee as an option - by the cup or by the pound.
- Our muffins are sweetened with pure maple syrup and local honey. We use canola oil and low-fat buttermilk or nonfat yogurt in our muffins. Delicious and nutritious! (Join our muffin club: buy ten, get one free!)
- We use 100% all-natural pork sausage links and bacon. Both are from Beeler's Natural Pork in Iowa. Beeler's uses family-farm raised animals. We also now serve Callister Farm Chicken and Shepard Farm Bison - no additives or preservatives.
- As always, at Trotter's we use the highest quality local and organic ingredients. We never use additives or preservatives. We are committed to providing you with the best and freshest products. We make it here "from scratch" every day - from stocks for our soups to our whole grain breads and delicious baked goods.
- We support sustainable practices. We encourage less packaging and more recycling. We give you a discount when you bring your own container (coffee, salad, soup). We welcome your comments and suggestions.
- Our employees support a variety of excellent causes by donating a portion of counter contributions. Some included are:
- Friends of the Orphans
- Keystone Community Services
- Land Stewardship Project
- Doctors Without Borders
- Albergue Infantile Josefino AC Orphanage-Oaxaca, Mexico
- Altered Esthetics
- Brain Injury Assoc. of Minnesota
- Steven's Square Center for the Arts
- St. Joseph Workers Program
- Trotter's also donates food each week to the Keystone Community Food Shelf and Peace House (Mpls). We are very thankful for the work they do in our community.
Let us know if you have an organization you'd like us to consider.
THANK YOU.
